Welcome to Kellogg Middle School’s Dual Language Program, a unique educational program designed to create bilingual, biliterate, high-achieving, and socioculturally competent learners.

Kellogg teacher Waldo Nambo supports a Dual Language program student in his classroom, periodic table of elements on the wall behind them

Our program follows an 80/20 model. The model starts in Kindergarten through second grade, with 80% of the instructional time in Spanish and 20% in English. In third grade and beyond, the instruction is 50% in Spanish and 50% in English. Our classrooms offer strong support for every student’s journey to bilingualism.
