ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Nonfiction News Sources for 7th Grade English:
1. "KPop Demon Hunters directors on Oscar chances and a possible sequel"
2. 'Labubu' is a plush toy that is causing a frenzy. Here's its origin story"
3. Generation Alpha ends as 2025 kicks off Generation Beta
4. "Two arrested over theft of jewels at Louvre museum in Paris"
5. "Parents and Gen Alpha kids are having unintelligible convos because of ‘brainrot’ language"
We have two clubs in the Kellogg library this year:
The Kellogg Reads Book Club meets on the 3rd Thursday of the month in the library, after school, from 3:15 - 4:45 pm. We eat pizza and talk about books.
The dates for this year's meetings are: 10/16, 11/20, 12/18, 1/15, 2/26, 3/19, 4/16, and 5/14.

The Kellogg Makerspace Club meets on the 2nd Thursday of the month after school in the library, from 3:15 - 4:45 p.m. We work with a variety of STEAM resources including robotics, arts, crafts, and engineering activities. The goal of the Makerspace Club is to explore and collaborate with others.
The meeting dates for this school year are: 10/9, 11/13, 12/11, 1/8, 2/12, 3/12, 4/9, and 5/7.

Kellogg Library Hours
8:15 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
On early release Wednesdays, library hours are 8:15 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Ms. O'Connor
Ms. O'Connor loves to read books in the Realistic Fiction genre and she also likes memoirs and narrative nonfiction. Some of her favorite books are Charlotte's Web, The Kite Runner, A Heart in a Body in the World, The Poet X and Hidden Valley Road.
