The WA State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has shared with us that a portion of Ballinger Way NE (SR 104) will be closed to traffic, including school buses, September 4 through November 7.

The WA State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has shared with us that a portion of Ballinger Way NE (SR 104) will be closed to traffic, including school buses, September 4 through November 7, as shown on this map:

Families who drive this route should expect delays, especially during the first days of the closure, as drivers adjust their driving patterns accordingly.

Information for Bus Riders

  • While there are no bus stops on Ballinger Way that are directly affected by this closure, bus routes in the area have been adjusted due to the detour, primarily those routes east of Ballinger.

  • To see if your bus stop location or times have been changed for this road closure period, families can log in to e-link.

  • If you have already logged in this week to check your child’s bus routing information for the upcoming year, there is no need to do so again–the routing information you viewed includes adjustments due to the detour.

  • If a bus stop or time will be changed when Ballinger Way reopens, families can expect to receive that information prior to the road reopening to traffic.

We understand this road closure may be frustrating, but by prioritizing the safety of our students, construction crews, and staff navigating the congestion, we can get through it together. Please do not call or text the school that you are running late while you are driving or sitting in a traffic back-up.
